We are looking to find the right partner to collaborate with us in bringing a collection of innovative new events and experiences to life. This unique opportunity is offered on an uncapped revenue-sharing compensation model. 

Position Overview

The contracted Event & Experience Manager will work hand-in-hand with Be Well, The Happiness ClubManagement Team to ideate and strategize new digital and in person event initiatives and experiences. This opportunity requires an individual with exceptional hands-on experience independently creating, leading, and managing mid to private exclusive events. The ideal candidate will have an established network, demonstrated portfolio of work, creative mindset, and a passion for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong understanding of Be Well’s brand, services, competitive edge, and long-term vision for market and event expansion.
  • Work closely with the Be Well Management and key stakeholders to ideate unique eventconcepts and engaging audience experiences.
  • Prepare project scope, timeline, requirements, restrictions, budget, and ROI.
  • Source, negotiate with, and contract required vendors and suppliers.
  • Establish relationships with community partners and sponsors.
  • Coordinate all necessary approvals and licensing.
  • Manage the scheduling and organization of internal and external resources.
  • Direct and supervise event staff, volunteers, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Day of event supervision and on-site direction.
  • Analyze event success and provide summary report.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand both audience and client behavior to anticipate needs and ideate new event and experience opportunities.
  • Continuously assess industry, market, and competitive landscape to drive vision for innovative new experiences.
  • Consistently ensure full brand integration and consistency across all strategies and activations.

 

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years’ relevant industry experience creating, launching, and managing events.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset, though not required.
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with positive attitude and high energy.
  • Strong portfolio of hands-on event management experience from conception to reality.
  • Ability to develop, maintain and exceed budgeted sales and profits.
  • Established network of special event related contacts, both locally and nationally.
  • Passion for creating innovative strategies, problem-solving, and business development.
  • Ability to deliver results and constructively lead team through high-pressure situations.
  • Strong time management, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
  • Possesses a “can do” attitude with proven ability to positively influence others.
  • Personal computer and software required for day to day work requirements.

This is an unpaid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets youruniversity’s guidelines

Position Overview

The Spring 2020 Social Media Intern will help create engaging social media content in support of our events, experience and social programing. The ideal candidate will regularly gather data on consumer, competitor, and market conditions in the social media space. This person will get immediate, hands-on experience on a lean team and also have many opportunities to see their social ideas come to life.

 

Description of your Day to Day

Plan and execute social media strategy across brands Produce creatives, both static and video, primarily for social Brainstorm ideas for TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram Research and write content for our Entertainment brands (the magazine, podcast and video content) Engage with fans across social and monitor what they are saying about our content Stay up-to-date on social media trends and develop ideas to capitalize on these moments

Qualifications: What you bring to the team:

  • Proficiency in Photoshop and Premiere Pro
  • Experience creating custom static and video content for social
  • A passion for digital media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; attendance and punctuality is a requirement
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google suite

You might also have –

  • Prior experience in a professional environment
  • Prior marketing experience
  • Experience in managing social accounts on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or bootcamp
  • Must be at least 18 years old
